Hiroshima - Week 19 (Total, week 38)

We got to meet with Sophanna (the Cambodian) again this week. He said
he has been way busy lately, but he thanked us for not giving up on
him.
Jimmy has also been very busy lately and we haven't been able to meet
him this week at all. But we have texted him and stuff, and he has
tried to pray a few times, so he is still doing good!
Our newer investigator, Mika is doing awesome! She came to stake
conference yesterday, and took TONS of notes, this next meeting with
her, we plan on setting a baptismal date. She is doing way awesome,
and is making way good relationships with the ward.
Well. Not too much happened this week. Yes, I'm still in Hiroshima,
and I'm loving it! I never want to leave this place! My companion is
Elder Stennett. He is from Hawaii, but he is really white ha. He is a
way funny kid, and he has a lot of sweet ideas for dendo. He is only a
third transfer, he got here in May. So let's just say I'm trying to
learn his language really fast right now. :)

Anyways.

Hiroshima - Week 18 (Total, week 37)

CHASED BY A BIRD!
This past week we had transfers. My last companion ended up going home, so I got a new companion named Elder Stennett. He is from Hawaii. But he's white. :) he came to Japan 3 months ago, and is way good at the language. He's a way sweet missionary. We are going to have an awesome transfer.
Our investigators are still doing really well. Jimmy came to church yesterday, and we taught more about baptism. We are probably going to move his baptismal date to September, but he is still looking pretty strong.
We met this other lady, whose Japanese is very hard to understand. We misunderstood a lot of what she said, and we ended up thinking she was crazy. Turns out our Japanese is just really bad, and she ended up coming to church. And she really liked it, so that was a good thing.
Also, while Elder Stennett and I were dendouing a bird attacked us! It was tiny, but it was literally attacking us. Out of nowhere, it just popped out, and started chasing us. Elder Stennett literally ran like 20 yards as the bird was chasing him and had to duck to get out of the way! It was hilarious!
Anyways. That's about it that happened. Love you all.

Hiroshima - Week 17 (Total, week 36)

WHAT!
The transfer is over.
I'm killing my second companion.
Where is the time going?!
This transfer has gone by insanely fast, I can't believe it's already over. I'm probably going to be staying here in Hiroshima. Lost 4 kilos this transfer in case anyone cares as much as me :)
This past week was really good. We had an open house last Saturday which went really well! We had a grandma and her two grandkids come. They are way cute!

We also had a really good lesson with Jimmy this past week, but then he went to Nagoya, so he wasn't able to come to church..
Nothing else has really changed too much. We are still doing good here, still working hard. Japanese still coming.

Have a good week.

Hiroshima - Week 16 (Total, week 35)

Well this week was full of a lot of contacting, it was way good to be able to go out and talk to a bunch of people! Not too much happened with investigators this week, they all became very busy. But we did get to meet with the Chinese investigator I talked about last week, Jimmy. He is still doing very good, and we were able to set a baptismal date with him. He has had some way good questions about the gospel, but is still progressing really well.
As for me, I'm still doing wonderful! Things are going really well here, Elder Allred and I are working really hard, and my Japanese is starting to come out! I'm not too sure what else to say about this week. This next coming week is Elder Allred's last, he's not too excited.
Well, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.
ごめんね

Hiroshima - Week 15 (Total, week 34)

Hmm.. What happened this week?
First off, tried working on diligence this week. And I forgot, how
ironic. But this next week for sure!
Now I want to talk to you about one of our investigators. His name is
Jimmy. We found him housing, and we play basketball with him every
week. He is from China, and is way good at ping pong! Recently he went
through a divorce with his wife, and feels like he has to hold on to
some guilt from his divorce. We taught him twice this week, and both
lessons went really well! He has such a great desire to want to get to
know God, and be able receive help from Him.
This past week I have really been able to feel Heavenly Father's help
with not only Japanese, but also with being able to teach our
investigators. We can't do this work without Him. This is His work. I
just want to testify that with God's help we can accomplish anything.
He wants to help us, and He is waiting for us to ask. 3 Nephi 27:29

Hiroshima - Week 14 (Total, week 33)

Hi guys! This week went by so fast and so slow at the same time I
don't even know what's going on anymore!
How is everyone? I hope good!
I'm doing really well out here. I have been in my area for a little
over 3 months, and I love it! The members here are so nice, and it has
been such an awesome experience working with them, and to have the
opportunity to see how strong of faith they have.
Yesterday, they had me speak in sacrament meeting. It was a little
rough, considering the topic was family and marriage! Don't worry
though, I didn't cry, mainly cause it was Japanese..
Our recent convert is doing well so far, we have been teaching him the
lessons over again, to make sure he understands everything. We have
been able to find some really cool investigators lately, and they have
been progressing lately, so that's good!
I still can't speak he language. But it's still fun! I can slightly
communicate now, so now I won't die if I'm stranded.. Haha jokuu.
We had splits this past week, and I went with an elder who is younger
than me. It really tested my Japanese, but it was good to do it. I
could see what I needed to work on more.
Nothing else really happened this week, still healthy, still moving,
still working.
Hope everyone is doing the same,, have a good week!

Hiroshima - Week 13 (Total, week 32)

Hi guys!
Finally met the new President! He is awesome!! He works for Lagoon,
and helps make roller coasters. We only had a 5 minute interview with
him, but it was still way awesome. And the spirit that surrounds him
is amazing!
We also got our training for area books on the iPads, so we should be
using those soon, which will be way nice!
Kawamura had his confirmation done yesterday, by Elder Gorski. He is
one transfer older than me, and was way nervous! But he did good. It
was way cool.
This past week we have met a lot of cool people! One person we met
yesterday was a guy from Portugal. We communicated through Japanese,
and found out that he was a member of our church when he was 18. He
said he was only in it for 3 years, and later found out that in those
3 years, he served a mission! California! It was crazy! Now he is in a
different Christian church, and is married to someone in that church.

Anyways. Love ya miss ya
